[May 4th, 2022] Today, the Florida Forestry Association (FFA) endorsed Florida’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis in his reelection bid. The Florida Forestry Association provides 124,000 jobs across the state and has a huge impact on preserving the forests of northern Florida, including those in CFO Patronis’ hometown in Bay County.
Florida Forestry Association President Carlton Jones stated, “On behalf of the 1,450 members of the Florida Forestry Association, I am pleased to announce our endorsement of CFO Patronis’ re-election campaign for Florida’s Chief Financial Officer. He has been a vocal advocate for forestry throughout his time in public service. As a small business owner, his common-sense, solution-driven approach to issues reflects the outlook of many who work in the forest industry. Time and again, he has acted in the best interest of our state and its people.”
CFO Patronis said, “It’s an honor to have the endorsement of the Florida Forestry Association. In the past, my family was selected by the Forestry Association as the Tree Farmer of the Year. FFA has created thousands of jobs across the state and protected our forests and wildlife. When most people think of Florida, they think of beaches and palm trees, but our forests are the hidden gem.”
