Guess Who Had Their Driver’s License Suspended?
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.– Patronis Campaign
Communications Director Katie Strickland released the following statement today:
“Guess who had their driver’s license suspended? Turns out it’s Democrat CFO candidate Jeremy Ring. According to a September 2006 Sun-Sentinel article, Ring failed to pay tolls and the state suspended his license. Ring’s Senate opponent that year called him a ‘lawbreaker’ because of it.
“This discovery brings to light many questions: Does this mean Ring’s campaign and/or his Democratic Party bosses were involved last month in trying to say CFO Patronis had a driver’s license suspension, which turned out to be a system error? Is this all just one big coincidence? Or could it be that they were trying to get ahead of what has been a campaign problem for them before? It’s time for them to start giving some answers.”
FROM THE ARCHIVES:
“In a recent mailer, Graber, Broward County’s mayor, a former four-term state legislator, and the only District 32 candidate who’s held political office, called Ring a ‘lawbreaker,’ and listed an array of unpaid toll violations. Ring said … he tried renting a car and discovered his license had been suspended for non-payment of the fines.” (Sallie James, “DISTRICT 32 VOTERS GET A NASTY MAILBOX CAMPAIGN,” Sun-Sentinel, 9/1/06)
